.. • <br /> EXHBtT ��a�� <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> 1. Consultant shall perForm a background investigation for the Redwood City Fire <br /> Department to include the following: <br /> A. Confer with representatives from the Redwood City Fire Department to provide <br /> for specific needs of the investigations. Perform a review of documents provided <br /> by the Redwood City Fire Department. <br /> B. Following initial discussions and review of documents; determine the manner artd <br /> form for providing results and reports. <br /> C. As authorized, pertorm necessary interviews and investigation. As necessary, <br /> consult with Redwood City Fire Department representatives to provide updates <br /> and receive direction relative to information obtained. <br /> D. Provide Redwood City Fire Department representative with Final Report of the <br /> investigations detailing the facts and findings determined by the investigator. <br /> 2. Fee Schedule: <br /> A. Consultant shall be paid a fee of One Thousand Ninety-five Dollars ($1,095) per <br /> investigation. This standard fee is for all investigative time including consultation, <br /> preparation, travel, interviews and documentation of all work completed within <br /> the geographic boundaries of San Mateo, San Francisco & Alameda Counties <br /> and the majority of Santa Clara County. <br /> B. If Consultant is required to travel outside that area an additional fee of 56 cents <br /> per mile and $60.00 per hour will be added. Consultant must obtain authorization <br /> from the Fire Department before any outside the area travel. <br /> C. Reasonable expenses at actual cost to Consultant, for travel, lodging, meals and <br /> other necessary items will be added to the standard fee. <br /> D. Mileage charges will be at the current IRS reimbursement rate. <br /> 4 <br />
