6.2. - Page 3 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RECITING THE FACTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED GENERAL <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2011 DECLARING <br />THE RESULTS AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW <br />WHEREAS, a Consolidated Municipal School and Special District Election was <br />held and conducted in the City of Redwood City, California, on Tuesday, November 8, <br />2011, as required by law, and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in time, form and manner as provided <br />by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were <br />appointed and that in all respects the election was held and conducted and votes were <br />cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form and <br />manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for <br />the holding of elections in general law and charter cities; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 15111, adopted May 23, 2011 the County <br />Election Department has tallied the votes with respect to the election, has canvassed, <br />certified and published the Official Election Results which have been received and are <br />attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A ". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. Attached hereto as Exhibit A is the Certificate from the Chief Election Officer <br />and the Completed Canvass of the Vote and the Certified Election Results. <br />2. That the number of votes given in the City to each of the persons above <br />named for the respective offices for which the persons were candidates and for and <br />against the measures were as listed in the attached Exhibit "A ". <br />3. The City Council does declare and determine that the following candidates <br />were elected for the full term of four years by the following vote: <br />Alicia Aguirre 5331 <br />Barbara Pierce 5089 <br />Ian Bain 4740 <br />Rosanne Foust 4646 <br />4.
