• -, . � � REG:yc:12/6/65-7 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. ��5_S <br /> RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A <br /> PORTION.OF A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT <br /> WI�REAS, the City Engineer has advised this Council that <br /> the hereinafter described portion of a public utility easement <br /> is no longer necessary or needed for public municipal purposes; <br /> and <br /> WE�REAS, the portion of the public utility easement which <br /> is no longer necessary or needed for public municipal purposes <br /> is a portion of that certai.n public utility easement which was <br /> designated as such on that map entitled "Friend Industri.al Tract," <br /> recorded December 31, 1940, in the office of the Recorder of San <br /> Mateo County. California, in Volume 23 of Maps at page 33, and <br /> has not been used as such since that date; and <br /> WF�REAS, said \ sement is unnecessary for present or pros- <br /> pective public use; and <br /> WF�REAS, Article 5(commencing at §50430) of Chapter 2, <br /> Part 1,,Division 1. Title 5, of the Government Code provides a <br /> procedure for the vacation of easements by local authorities; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: , , , <br /> 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City hereby declares <br /> its intention to abandon the here'inafter described portion of a <br /> public utility easement pursuant to the aforementioned Government <br /> Code provisions. <br /> 2.
