' <br /> DATE: October 31, 1985 <br /> Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Director of Public Works <br /> SUBJECT: Pedestrian Crossing - Middlefield Road/Douglas Avenue (1104-03) <br /> Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on October 28, 1985 <br /> Present: Councilmen Bury, Chandler, Claire, Rhodes, Stangel and <br /> Vice Mayor Mosher <br /> Absent: Mayor Britschgi <br /> The following motion was made and entered on the minutes: <br /> Councilman Stangel noted for the record that the alternative relating to <br /> construction of a raised median to allow pedestrian refuge.in the center <br /> of the street involves the removal of approximately 15 on-street parking <br /> spaces in an area with very limited parking now. <br /> M/S: Stangel/Rhodes to refer the subject of pedestrian crossing at <br /> Middlefield Road and Douglas to staff for more cost information <br /> regarding the van and the pedestrian refuge and that the possibility of <br /> having the meals delivered across the street to those who have <br /> difficulty crossing be considered also. <br /> Carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> JACQUELINE HILDEBRAND <br /> City Clerk <br /> / <br /> . . ] <br />
