� � • <br /> � MINUTE ORDER <br /> N0: 86-200 <br /> CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br /> Redwood City <br /> DATE: October 27, 1986 <br /> Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> SUBJECT: Allocations of funds for Redwood City Symposium on 11/8/86 <br /> Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on October 27, 1986 <br /> Present: Councilmen Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Greenalch, LaBerge,,Stangel and <br /> Mayor Claire <br /> Absent: None <br /> The following motion was made and entered on the minutes: <br /> M/S: LaBerge/Stangel to allocate up to $200 to underwrite the cost of <br /> $8.00 each of up to 25 Redwood.City residents who might not otherwise be <br /> able to attend the Symposium on November 8, 1986. <br /> City Attorney Schricker advised that some criteria should be established <br /> with regard to those eligible to receive the tickets to be provided at <br /> City cost. <br /> AMENDMENT TO MOTION: Councilvro man LaBerge, with the consent of her <br /> second, amended the motion to make the tickets available to the first 25 <br /> persons who.apply who are 50 years of age or more and members of <br /> established, recognized City groups such nas AARP, Fun After Fifty, Fair <br /> Oaks Senior Center, etc. <br /> Nita Spangler, 970 Edgewvod Road, suggested Council should not discriminate <br /> in underwriting the cost of tickets on the basis of age and that "brown <br /> bag" lunches'are acceptable. <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. , <br /> JACQU L E C.
