� � <br /> M I N U T E 0 R D E R <br /> NO. 86-178 <br /> CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT � <br /> Redwood City <br /> DATE: September 17, 1986 <br /> Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Director of Public Works <br /> Traffic Engineer <br /> SUBJECT: E1 Camino Real/Edgewood Road Traffic Signal System <br /> (continued from 8/18/86 per Council action) (1104-03) <br /> Reports: Public Works Director 8/13/86 and 6/24/85 <br /> Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on September 15, 1986 <br /> Present: Councilmen Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Greenalch, La Berge, Stangel <br /> and Mayor Claire <br /> Absent: None . <br /> The following motion was made and entered on the minutes: <br /> M/S: Stangel/Chandler to maintain the status quo with regard to traffic <br /> regulatory devices at the E1 Camino Real/Edgewood Road intersection, since <br /> the recommended devices, such as a"NO Left Turn" sign,�a median barrier <br /> and a.tsaffic signaL, would necessazily cause traffic congestion and <br /> potential increased traffic hazards at Whipple Avenue/E1 Camino Real, <br /> at Finger Avenue/E1 Camino Real and at Avondale/E1 Camino Real, and, <br /> additionally, would increase the flow of traffic on Whipple Avenue. <br /> Carried on the following roll call vote: <br /> Ayes: Counci]men�Britschgi, Chandler, Stangel and Mayor Claire <br /> Noese Councilmen Bury, Greenalch,-;La Berge <br /> UII,INE C.
