� � <br /> M I N U T E 0 R D E R <br /> N0: 85-83-1 <br /> CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br /> Redvrood City <br /> DATE: June 24, 1985 <br /> Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Chairman, Housing and Human <br /> Concerns Committee <br /> SUBJECT: Fbusing and Human Concerns Cortrtnittee Report re hbbilehome Park rent <br /> Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on June 17, 1965 <br /> Present: Councilmen Bury, Chandler, Claire, hbsher, Rhodes, Stangel, <br /> ard Mayor Br it schg i <br /> Absent: None <br /> The following motion was made and entered on the minutes: <br /> M/S: Chandler/Nbsher that the Council respectfully reject the offer of <br /> the Housing and Human Concerns Coranittee to review the Fair Rent <br /> Cortpromise Lease approved by the City Council on April 22, 1985. <br /> (Second to the motion was made based on the statement that the maker <br /> would cite his reasons during discussion.) <br /> City Attorney Schricker cortmented and replied to questions by Council <br /> suggesting tHat if Council were to order reconsideration of the issues, <br /> it would be favoring one side; that ordinarily, once legislative action <br /> is taken, it remains in effect as a statement of the legislative policy <br /> of the Council; that justification for reopening an issue in exceptional <br /> circumstances might be if new facts were presented for consideration, <br /> which in this situation does not appear to be the case; that Council had <br /> set up an ad ha comnittee with the intent of helping the situation, and <br /> is trying to mediate what is really a private dispute. <br />
