' N0: 85-45 <br /> CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br /> Redwood City <br /> DATE: April 19, 1985 <br /> Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Planning Director <br /> Joseph Bergeron <br /> SUBJECT: Appeal from decision of Zoninq Administrator/2730 Broadway (203-10) <br /> Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on April 15, 1985 <br /> Present: Councilmen Bury, Chandler, Claire, hb sher, Rhodes, Stangel, <br /> and Mayor Britschgi <br /> Absent: None. <br /> The following motion was made and entered on the minutes: <br /> M/S: Claire/Chandler to deny the appeal of Joseph E. Bergeron on beh alf of <br /> Yolanda Gomez and uphold the decision of the Zoning Administrator to deny <br /> application for a Use Permit to sell beer and wine in an existing restaurant, <br /> 2730 Broadway, based upon the following findings: <br /> That granting of the Use Permit would be injurious to the property or <br /> improvements of the neighborhood and to the general welfare of the City <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. That to the extent sales overall would be increased by use of on-site <br /> consumption of alcoholic beverages, the parking situation in the area <br /> would be exacerbated in connection with use of the property, and <br /> would be contrary to the variance which has heretofore been granted <br /> for the parking; <br />
