6. PUBLIC COMMENT AND CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Mike Mielke with Brocade, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, invited City Council, staff <br /> and the community to the 2011 Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, which will include a <br /> 5K run and walk and a 10K run (brochure on file). He shared details of the planned <br /> events that includes the competition, a kids run and an awards ceremony. He <br /> encouraged people to bring a bag of canned food to donate to Second Haroest. <br /> Michelle Lindeman from Brocade spoke further on the Turkey Trot, including details <br /> about the Mayor's Cup at their Fourth Annual Silicon Valley Applied Materials Turkey <br /> Trot and how there will be recognition and prizes by size category for small, middle and <br /> large cities. <br /> Mike Bautista (presentation on file) spoke about two appeals he has filed with the City. <br /> He said he wants to document City staff lies and deception and how the Council knew <br /> about it, and that he has been rebuffed by Council. He said he is unable to present all <br /> his information in the three minutes allotted and this is his seventh time addressing <br /> Council. <br /> M/S Seybert/Gee to approve the Consent Calendar. <br /> Council Member Bain commented on item 6.1 E and he had some thoughts in regards <br /> to the role of elected officials since he served on this body for three years. He supports <br /> the response but he thinks the Airport Roundtable should revisit the suggestions in the <br /> letter. <br /> Motion carries unanimously by electronic vote. <br /> City Attorney Thompson reported out on the Closed Session stating that she had been <br /> authorized to represent the City in the issue of Sipple v. City of Redwood City, et al. <br /> 1. Section - Motion(s) <br /> A. Purchase of One Regenerative Air Sweeper. (701) <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Approve by motion, the purchase of one Tymco Model 600 regenerative air <br /> sweeper in the amount of $226,456.84 from GCS Environmental Equipment <br /> Services, Inc. of Sacramento, CA under the cooperative purchase provision <br /> of the City and County of San Francisco's recent competitive bid number <br /> ITSF 11000582/CD. MINUTE ORDER 11-156 <br /> B. Disposal of Surplus Property.
