RESOLUTION NO. DL.-..O 2. <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION of THE CITY of <br />REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING THE MITIGATION MONITORING AND <br />REPORTING TING PI OG AM; MAKING FINDINGS CONCERNING SIGNIFICANT <br />ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS; AND ADOPTING A STATEMENT of <br />OVERRIDING IDING CONSIDEI ATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE <br />CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL JAL ITY ACT FOR THE STANFORD <br />D <br />OUTPATIENT CENTER PROJECT FOR WHICH A SUP'PLE-I IENTAL <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT HAS BEEN PREPARED. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City "City" prepared a Final Supplemental <br />Environmental Impact Report ort "Final SEII " for the Stanford Outpatient Center Project <br />"Project's); and <br />WHEREAS, the Final SEIR examines whether the changes in use and the tenant <br />improvements included in the Project will cause new or substantially more severe <br />environmental impacts than those identified in the Final EIF (December, 1996) and Final <br />Supplemental EIl (December, 1998) prepared for the Midpoint Technology Park, within <br />which the Project would be located in four currently vacant buildings,, and also examines <br />w hether new mitigation measures or alternatives have become feasible since the Midpoint <br />Fibs were certified and would substantially reduce the environmental impacts of the project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on September 19, 2006, after a duly noticed public hearing and an <br />independent review of the Final SEI , the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood rood city <br />certified by recorded vote that the Final SEIR was completed In accordance with the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act "CE .A" and state and local <br />guidelines and reflected the independent judgment of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, CE QA requires that, In connection with the approval of a project for which <br />an Ells has been prepared which identifies one or more significant environmental effects, the <br />decision-making agency make certain findings regarding the significant environmental <br />effects. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ED THE PLANNING COMMISSION of THE <br />CITY of REDWOOD CITY, As FOLLOWS: <br />General Findin Planning Commission hereby finds and of rrns that the <br />.,, Final SEIR has been completed in compliance with CE A; that the Planning Commission has <br />reviewed and analyzed the Final SEIR and other information in the record and has <br />considered the information contained therein, including the wriften and oral comments <br />received at public hearings on the SEIR and the Project prior to acting upon or approving the <br />Project; and that the Final SEIR represents the independent judgment: of the City of Redwood <br />City. <br />
