RES. 1 96" 1 <br />WHEREAS, the City has carefully evaluated the environmental effects of the Project, and <br />has determined that the Project will have no new en ironmental effects that were not already <br />considered in the Redwood Peninsula EIR; and <br />WHEREA , the City has prepared a Technical Addendum to the Redwood Peninsula <br />EIR to supply the technical information necessary to apply the Redwood Peninsula EIR to the <br />Project; and <br />AREAS, the Redwood Peninsula EIR and the Technical Addendum together <br />constitute the "Project EIR "; and <br />WHEREAS, the Project EIR. fully identifies all significant effects of the Project on the <br />environment, as well as all feasible mitigation measures; and <br />WHEREAS, the Project EIR inco orates two studies the "Traff c Impact Stud <br />prepared by Fehr and Peers .& Associates, transportation consultants (November 15, 1995 ) and <br />the "Airport Land Use and Safety study" prepared by P a D Consultants, Inc. (May 6, 1996); <br />and <br />VaWREAS, Flatirons has agreed to adopt all feasible mitigation. measures and changes to <br />the Project identified in these reports to reduce potentially significant environmental irri acts; and <br />p <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1.5164 of the .State CEQA Guidelines, the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Redwood City .n ay approve a technical amendment to an EIR when <br />an application for a project does not result in a significant effect that was not previously <br />reviously <br />considered in a prior EIR; <br />l OW9 THEREFOREI <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS PLANNING COMMISSION AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Planning Commission hereby finds, declares, and concludes .as follows: <br />(a) TYhe foregoing recitals are true and factual and hereby incorporated herein. <br />(b) On June 4, 1.996, June 18, 1996 and June 19, 1996, this Planning Commission <br />heard and received oral and documentary testimony. <br />(c) This Planning Commission has received and reviewed the information contained in <br />the Administrative Record regarding the development of the Property including, without <br />11imitation, the Project EIR, the 1982 Development Agreement, the "Findin s of Consistency <br />y <br />Between the .Electronic Arts Master .Plan Project and the general Plan of the City of Redwood <br />City," and "Findings, Fact In Support of Findings, and . statement Of Overridin g Considerations <br />regarding The Environmental Impact Report For The Electronic .Arts Headquarters Master Plan" <br />the testimony, both oral and documentary, made and submitted before and to this Pla nning <br />g <br />Commission, and all other matter deemed relevant to the approval of the Technical .Addendum. <br />M'PW / EAADDRE3.DOC <br />
