(2) Although the Project will . have significant impacts on the environment, as <br />identified above, the impacts were all identified b the City y ty th e <br />General Plan approval process and have been taken into account by the <br />City during .its planning process. <br />(3) The impacts of the Project on adjacent properties, especially residential <br />uses, Will be minimized. Compared with a pre ci p ously -pro osed master <br />plan for the sane property, the Project virtually eliminates .shadows on <br />adjacent residenf ial neighborhoods. <br />lk <br />(4) The Project will enhance the City`s image as the " software ca ital" of the <br />p <br />Bay-Area. Oracle, the largest software database company, is already <br />located in the City. electronic darts, the Project appllcailt, is the largest <br />independent U.S. software company inn the interactive entertai <br />industry. The location of both of these com anies in the City gill help P p to <br />promote the City's image - and may . help to create . a -critical mass that <br />encourages other computer- related ventures to locate in the City <br />(5) The Project will create significant primary and secondary employment <br />opportunities. Significant construction job opportunities will be create <br />by the development of the .S .100 million,Pro j ect. At full buildout the <br />Project will house approximately .3,000 "white collar" jobs, providing <br />well- compensated positions fora well- educated workforce. The resulting <br />. g <br />economic stimulus in the area will generate additional secondary jobs <br />further boosting. the local economy. <br />(� The Project will increase daytime and early eveni .g population. This X11 <br />help improve the feasibility, earlier chance of develo p ment and likelihood <br />of long -term success of the proposed shopping center across Redwood <br />Shores Parkway. <br />(7) The Project will Improve the j obs&ousing balance at Redwood Shores. <br />- Currently, redwood Shores contains more residents tim ' jobs, an <br />imbalance that adds to traffic congestion. Future plans for Redwood <br />Shores include significa.nt increases in housing stock. By rovidin 'obs in <br />P g� <br />the area, the Project will help to correct this imbalance, which Will in turn, <br />mitigate traffic * .. acts by reducing `out commutin ."
