applicable laws as set forth in Redwood City's standard public works contract Document 700
General Conditions, Part VI.
6. San Carlos agrees to reimburse Redwood City the total cost incurred by
Redwood City for all work perFormed within the corporate limits of San Carlos, including any
contract Change Orders. However, any grant funds received shall be used to pay for project
costs proportionately between Redwood City and San Carlos and San Carlos shall not be
required to reimburse Redwood City for construction costs paid for with grant funds. San Carlos
shall also reimburse Redwood City for project management costs in the amount of ten percent
(10%) of the construction contract and Change Order costs for work performed within the
corporate limits of San Carlos.
7. The estimated cost for work performed within the corporate limits of San Carlos
is $32,000.00. However, both cities understand and agree that these estimates
are not final as the total amounts will be unknown until the contract is awarded. Any contract
Change Orders on San Carlos' portion of the construction work will be subject to the written
approval by San Carlos. It is understood that the total sum to be reimbursed to Redwood City
by San Carlos shall be determined from the actual costs incurred by Redwood City to install
bike improvements on said San Carlos portions of Shoreway Road and Skyway Road in
conjunction with Redwood City's bike improvements project and project management costs
pursuant to paragraph 6 on the one hand and the actual amount of grant funds received by
Redwood City for the project work on the other.
8. Redwood City shall furnish primary construction inspection services for all
phases of the project work. The City Manager of Redwood City or his appointed representative
shall be solely responsible for all phases of construction and inspection functions and liaison
with the Project Contractor.
