AVOID THE 23 will also condu~t two mini-crackdowns, one on Labor Day <br />weekend and the other on Memorial Day weekend. The campaign plans at least 8 DUI checkpoints. The goals <br />of each crackdown are to reduce the number of DUI fatal and injury collisi0ns, to increase the number of DUI <br />arrests and to educate the public. The project is a successful cooperation between law enforcexnent and <br />community-based organizations involved in publishing and broadcasting.
