5. SPECIAL ORS: <br />Mayor Foust announced a third special order will be a Library presentation by Library <br />Director Gensy. This will take place prior to the joint meeting with the Library Board, <br />Presentation: Downtown Business Group Holiday Tree Decorating Winners <br />Susan Moeller, Redevelopment Manager, Nina K der , President of <br />Redwood city Downtown Business Group, and Keith Kad ra, chair of <br />Redwood ood city Downtown Business Group, Hometown olidarys <br />Steering Committee presented the awards. <br />The winners for the non- profit category ere: <br />- 1st Place: Shelter Network, $400 <br />- 2nd Place: Woodside High school, class of 2011, $300 <br />Honorable Mention: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, $100 <br />The winners for the private business category were: <br />st Flake; l lurl's Donut House, $400 <br />- 2nd Place: LOL Postcards, 30 <br />Honorable Mention: DMB salt Works, $100 <br />Mayor Foust read portions of a proclamation ation anno nci January as American .n Red cross <br />National Blood Donor Month. She thanked all those who are already donating blood. <br />6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL BOARD <br />Candice Greenberg made comments about an organization that provides community legal <br />services in East Palo Alto, she explained certain services related to alleged predatory <br />lending tactics. Ms. Greenberg also expanded on the Anti- predatory Lending Initiative. <br />Geoffrey Gee, speaking as Chairman of the chamber of Commerce Board, provided <br />information about upcoming community events. Mr. Gee also made comments about the <br />Redwood ,shores n ewslefter. <br />M s Aguirre/Hartnett to waive the reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances <br />by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. consent <br />Calendar items 6.3.A and 6.3.13 were pulled for discussion and are excluded from this <br />.notion. The motion passed by a unanimous roll call Grote. <br />6.1 Section —Motions - <br />A.
