5 f SPECIAL ORDERS: <br />S: <br />Presentation: Peninsula Arts Council, Diamond Award, City of Redwood City, <br />Government Support Award — Vice Mayor Howard <br />V ice Mayor Howard explained that this award was presented to Redwood City for <br />embracing cultural activities taking place at the downtown planar. she further stated that <br />it is an honor receiving such an award because it speaks to the quality of life in <br />Redwood City. Vice Mayor Howard thanked the San Mateo Peninsula Arts Council for <br />recognizing the City of Redwood City through the award. <br />Mayor Foust wished everyone a Happy New Year, She thanked staff and the Public <br />Works Department for its work in keeping the community safe and dry during the last <br />storm. Mayor Foust extended a wish for a fast recovery to Officer Casey Donovan who <br />got hurt in the line of duty. <br />6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR CITY <br />COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD <br />John Bruno provided a update on the Redwood City Saltworks and he explained that <br />there is a need to interconnect the plans to the community. He is aware that it seers <br />that the community would like to see a different use for that area. He added that about <br />6,000 comments were received and 220 residents attended the first workshop. <br />explained the specific topics discussed at this meeting and he presented a copy of the <br />work product form. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous roll cavil vote by those present. <br />6.1 section — Motions <br />A.
