Council Assignments Presentation <br />Mayor Foust presented the 2008 layor appointments to various committees. <br />She thanked t h e Council Members who agreed to serve on these bodies, Mayor <br />Foust explained that a schedule of when these meetings occur will go out in the <br />near future. She outlined certain changes she made this year such a the omission <br />of the council Liaison to the Housing and Human Concerns Committee and a few <br />other items. Mayor Foust will be sending a memorandum to the Chair of that body <br />regarding this decision. A memor will also g out asking Council Members if <br />they want to receive agendas and minutes of all Boards, Commissions and <br />Committees. <br />Mayor Foust stated that a weekly report will go out to Council following the <br />M yor ice Mayor meeting outlining what was discussed a that meeting. Mayor <br />or <br />Foust congratulated Council Member Hartnett on being voted the Chair of the Joint <br />Powers Board, of the Train Authority and Mayor Foust was reappointed a the <br />Chair of the Transportation Authority. Council Member Howard commented on <br />request from c CAG for Council to nominate for consideration b y the c CAG Board <br />an elected official to the Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee. Council Member Bain <br />expressed an interest in being nominated. <br />Mayor Foust thanked Deputy City Clerk Doran Wong for all her work and dedication} <br />C. ew enerl Plan Update (O update) <br />Interim City Manager Ingram announced the upcoming Kick -Off General Plan <br />meeting on January 30, 200 8. Mr. Ingram said that the scope and the timeline are <br />being carefully reviewed by staff. council discussed finding creative ways to <br />announce this event. Mr. Ingram said that staff wi use a variety of tools to reach all <br />stakeholders. A suggestion was made to send a letter to all Boards, Commissions, <br />and Committees and the Downtown Group as w ell. <br />l S Howard/Ira to adjourn to the closed Session.
