EXHIBIT "A" <br /> PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br /> Consultant shall prepare for the City, topographic survey base maps for Area 1, Area 3, <br /> Area 5, Area 6 and Area 8 as outlined in this agreement. Base maps will be utilized <br /> during the design stage of upcoming watermain capital improvement projects to <br /> determine the depths and alignments of the proposed water mains and avoid conflicts <br /> with existing utilities during construction. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK: <br /> Consultant shall prepare base maps to include the following: <br /> 1. Ground Survey: Topographic survey shall include all physical features within the <br /> project limit and project scope listed below, and also include any grade breaks or <br /> man made improvements not listed, excluding residential irrigation: <br /> a. Curb & gutter, sidewalks, driveways, and trees with minimum diameter of 6- <br /> inches at breast height within the planting strip and street facing fences within <br /> the right-of-way. <br /> b. Manholes, water valve boxes, water meter boxes, anode boxes, gas valve <br /> boxes, traffic signal boxes, street light boxes, monuments, fire hydrants, catch <br /> basins, drain inlets, cleanouts and utility vaults. <br /> c. Electrical poles, telephone poles, cable N lines, gas lines, loop detectors, <br /> traffic sign posts and street lights. <br /> d. Manholes rim and invert elevations, manhole pipe inverts and top of pipe, pipe <br /> diameters, drain inlets bottom, drain inlet pipe inverts and top ot pipe and catch <br /> basin grate elevation. <br /> e. Tax assessors lot lines, right-of-way lines and house addresses (approximate, <br /> from City Block Book), water services, gas services and sewer laterals. <br /> 2. Consultant shall complete base maps in AUTOCAD 2004 version at a scale of <br /> 1"=20'. Text information and other entities shall be readable at this scale when <br /> plotted on a plan and profile sheet. Final plotted text height shall be 0.1". <br /> 3. Consultant shall set center line stations at every 100 feet on tangent and 25 feet <br /> stations on curves. Indicate the following items; spot elevations at each 100 foot <br /> station: center line, lip of gutter or edge of pavement, face of curb at flow line, back <br /> of curb, sidewalk, planting strip or landscape area and right-of-way line or property <br /> line. <br /> ATTY/AGR/2012.013/MACLEOD & ASOqATES <br /> REV:01/30/12 � <br /> Page 10 of 16 <br />
