T <br />`tnTtn <br />RE: DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION <br />Additional Services for Fair Oaks Elementary School Sport Field Improvement Project <br />beals sport Project No.290003 <br />Dear Mr. Vorametsanti, <br />In response to your request, beals sport, a division of beals alliance, is pleased to submit the <br />following proposal to provide Design and Construction Administration Services on the above - <br />referenced project. This proposal reflects the Scope of Additional Work required to provide the City <br />with additional services for design and construction of the Fair Oaks Elementary School Sport Field <br />Improvement and associated work. This additional scope accounts for work above and beyond the <br />proposal from beats sport dated July 24, 2003. The current budget for these improvements is <br />identified at $850,000, not including the sports field lighting design and installation which would be an <br />additional cost of approximately $85,000 to $160,000, depending on the capacity of the existing <br />service. <br />PROJECT UNDERSTANDING: <br />City of Redwood City is proposing to retain beals sport to provide additional Design, Bid and <br />Construction Administration Services for the work required to design sport field lighting for the Fair <br />Oaks Elementary School Sport Field Improvement Project. Primary project scope components will <br />include design and construction services of the electrical system for the sump pumps and installation <br />of sport field lighting and related components, such as the light foundations, and coordination with the <br />lighting manufacturer and DSA, and related bid and construction services such as additional meetings, <br />plan distribution, and addressing miscellaneous bid and construction issues, such as sequencing work, <br />construction conflicts, etc. <br />SPECIFIC SCOPE OF SERVICES: <br />In accordance with our understanding of the project, beals sport (through Salas O'Brien <br />Engineering) proposes to provide the following services. <br />A. Design and Documentation Services <br />1. Retain an electrical engineering design firm to design all electrical related components, <br />including light pole foundations. <br />
