ATTACHMENT 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California 94063 <br />P nXg Services (650) 780 -7234 Fax (650) 780-0128 <br />.�IZ <br />Public Notice for a Large Family Child Care Home <br />The City wishes to notify you that the Zoning Administrator of the City of redwood City, State of <br />California, has received ai% application for a Use Permit for a Large Fami"y Child Care Home, <br />pursuant to Article 39 of the Zoning Ordinance, for the resident named at the address listed below. A <br />large family child care home is one that provides child care services for up to 14 children. You are <br />being sent this notice because you own and /or reside at property located within 100 feet of the <br />subject property (based on the latest equalized assessment rolls of record by the San Mateo County <br />Assessor). <br />Proposed Child Care Provider (Licensee): <Applicant Name> <br />Address: < Address> <br />The City of Redwood City requires that large family child care home providers agree to certain <br />conditions prior to approval of their use. These conditions are fully described in Article 39, Section <br />3.0 of the Zoning Ordinance. The conditions include obtaining and maintaining a State License <br />(requires a City Fire Department clearance); implementing parking and child drop off /pick -up <br />arrangements to minimize any potential impact on neighbors; and agreeing to maintain 'reasonable' <br />noise standards. A description of what family child care homes are, how they are regulated by the <br />State, and how they operate is provided on the reverse side of this notice. <br />Public Hearing Option <br />A public hearing may be held prior to approval of this permit, if requested in writing by the applicant <br />or other affected party. You may contact the project planner in writing at the address listed below to <br />request a public hearing. Your request must be received prior to 5:00 PM on <decision date >. If a <br />hearing is requested, the same property owners will be notified of the hearing at least 10 days prior <br />to the date of the hearing. If a hearing is not requested, then the Zoning Administrator will review <br />and approve the application if all the conditions are met. Any decision of the Zoning Administrator <br />can be appealed to the City Council. <br />All testimony related to this application must be received in writing by Planning Services prior to 5:00 <br />PM on <decision date >. Testimony cannot be given over the telephone. If there is a public hearing, <br />additional written testimony may be received in writing by Planning Services prior to and at the public <br />hearing.
