The importance of this <br />gathering of elected officials is that it resembles Redwood City's own efforts to highlight innovative, proven <br />techniques for developing and expanding our local economy. Another goal is to learn how to build resilient <br />and sustainable communities. The conference includes panel discussions as well as sharing of strategies <br />to reduce local government costs and increase revenues. <br />Alicia C. Aguirre <br />Mayor <br />March 15, 2012 <br />The Administrative Code requires reports of conferences or meetings for which a council member requests per diem or expense reimbursement. <br />Reports must be submitted to the City Clerk of no later than the Wednesday of the week before the next City Council meeting. Reports must be <br />submitted before the City of Redwood City will pay per diem or reimbursement for the conference or the meeting.
