DES:djk ~3/31/95R (090/39) <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12444 4/10/95 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF JOINT <br /> EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT CONTINUING ESTABLISHMENT <br /> OF THE CITY/COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo, <br />and certain other Cities located in the County of San Mateo <br />desire to continue the establishment of a City/County Association <br />of Governments for the purpose of preparing, adopting, monitoring <br />and enforcing certain County-wide State mandated plans; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this <br />Council an agreement pursuant to which the City/County <br />Association of Governments heretofore established pursuant to the <br />Joint Exercise of Powers Act (Govt. C. §6500 et seq.) shall <br /> <br />continue in existence; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement entitled, <br />"Joint Powers Agreement Continuing Establishment of the City/ <br />County Association of Governments", (form dated Revised: March, <br />1995) pursuant to which the City of Redwood City, the County of <br />San Mateo, and other Cities within San Mateo County specified in <br />said agreement shall exercise jointly certain powers with respect <br />to the preparation, adoption, monitoring and enforcement of <br />certain County-wide State mandated plans, a copy of which <br />agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br />copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, <br />is hereby approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute, and to attest thereto, <br />respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
