ATTACHMENT I <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to initiate study and consider updating and <br />amending at a future date Article 26 with a new C T Zoning District and a Zoning Map <br />Amendment for properties within the East Downtown Study Area into the new CS T <br />district; <br />WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing on August 14, 2007, the Planning <br />Commission f the City of Redwood City ("Commission") initiated Zoning Tent and Map <br />Amendments for the sake of creating replacing Article 26 of the Zoning Ordinance with <br />a new Zoning District and a Zoning Map Amendment for properties within the East <br />Downtown Study Area in the new CET district; and <br />WHEREAS, Article 41 of the Redwood d City Zoning Ordinance provides for the <br />adoption by the Planning Commission of a resolution of intention to m nd the Zoning <br />Text and Map. <br />II HEI EAS,, this Commission, haviing considered the evidence received at the <br />public hearing duly noticed and held for said initiation of proposed zoning tent and reap <br />amendments, finds that the proposed rezoning is in the public interest and consistent <br />with the purposes o f the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, E, E IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />F THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />I. The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby <br />incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2. That the Planning Commission desires to initiate amendment to the <br />Zoning Tent and Map in the manner proposed and referenced in Exhibit "A" attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein. <br />SECTION 5.
