In 2001 the City adopted a !Vice Places Policy which states "it is the policy of the <br />City of Redwood City that in the design of public and private projects, high priority be <br />given to creating comfortable, enjoyable, and aesthetically pleasing public spaces." With <br />the adoption of the Precise Plan the project will incorporate urban design elements that <br />promote active, pedestrian-oriented streets and public spaces. <br />3. The Commission initiates this proposed a mendment to ARTICLE 60, ZONING MAP No. <br />22 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, AS AMEN DED <br />(the "Zoning Map" to the properties (Assessor's Parcel Numbers 052-531-020, 052 - 531 -030, <br />052-531-050 052-531-070, 052-531-10% 052-531-110, 052 -- 531 -1 located within the <br />Peninsula Park Precise Plan Area referenced and identified in Attachment "A ", from the existing <br />General Commercial "CG" Zoning District to the Planned Community "P" Zoning Distdct. <br />4. The Commission refers for consideration and recommends adoption to the City Council <br />of this amendment to the Zoning lap ire the manner proposed and referenced in the preceding <br />paragraph, <br />5.
