Ms. Thompson clarified that what the City Council was
suggesting was to continue to seek additional information and or if the parties agree that
the parties want to discuss the issues. The maker of the substitute motion said he does
not want to hire a third expert but he wants to review the data and make sure that the
City avoids getting sued on this. Mr. Ekern appreciated the clarification.
The maker of the original motion said that he believes the City Attorney has reviewed
the matter and he trusts her judgment. The Mayor noted that if there is a two week
delay then her goal would be to get more community input.
The maker of the substitute motion withdrew his motion and the Vice Mayor Gee
withdrew the second.
