DES:djk ~/05/94 (052/39) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ABAG is offering $55,000.00 and staff assistance <br />for a pilot project that develops a comprehensive subregional <br />planning strategy, consistent with ABAG regional objectives; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, preparation of a comprehensive planning strategy <br />would allow C/CAG to coordinate and enhance existing subregional <br />plans, and produce a Countywide Policy Framework to guide the <br />Countywide Transportation Plan land use and transportation <br />alternatives development and selection process; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, preparation of a Comprehensive Planning Strategy <br />for San Mateo County will allow the City of Redwood City to seek <br />local consensus with other local agencies within the County on <br />regional and subregional issues, many of which are included in <br /> <br />current C/CAG programs; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby supports and will participate in the <br />Comprehensive Planning Strategy for San Mateo County, more <br />particularly described in the project proposal marked Exhibit "A" <br />hereof, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated <br />herein. <br /> <br /> 2. This Council hereby endorses the submittal of the C/CAG <br />pilot project proposal for a Comprehensive Planning Strategy to <br />ABAG for a $55,000.00 grant. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />submit a certified copy of this resolution to C/CAG for inclusion <br />in C/CAG's Comprehensive Planning Strategy application approved <br />hereby. <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
