EXHIBIT"A" <br /> <br /> SEAPORT CENTRE LEVEE SURVEY& EVALUATION CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES February 22, 2002 <br /> <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br /> This Scope of Services provides for the survey and geotechnical evaluation of the peripheral <br /> levees at the Seaport Centre. The following Tasks will be performed: <br /> <br /> Phase A. Project Management <br /> <br /> This task provides the overall management the project. The tasks include but are not limited to <br /> the following: <br /> <br /> · Providing project coordination, communicating project issues with the City of Redwood <br /> City, setting up the project including developing Nolte's project work plan, preparing a <br /> project design schedule as well as monitoring and updating that schedule, tracking and <br /> reporting job progress. <br /> <br /> · Attend one (1) meeting to discuss the results of the survey and geotechnical evaluation. <br /> <br /> Phase B. Levee Evaluation <br /> <br /> Task 1. Levee Survey <br /> <br /> PerfOrm four days of office and field surveying to establish levee elevations and cross-sections. <br /> Control will be set up and typical cross-sections taken along each of the seven levee lines. <br /> Elevations will be taken every 100 feet along the top of the levee to create a levee profile along <br /> each of the seven lines. <br /> <br /> Task 2. Preparation of Cross-Section Plans <br /> <br /> Prepare for review by City six (6) sets of typical cross-sections and levee profiles for the seven <br /> levee lines. <br /> <br /> Task 3. Geotechnical Evaluation <br /> <br /> Perfmm a visual inspection of the seven levee lines. Prepare a letter report summarizing the <br /> inspection results and recommendations for any required improvements.
