JAH:dft 1~ '~8/94 (022/38) <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 10/24/94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12359 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> MAKING FINDINGS AND APPROVING SALE OF LAND BY <br /> REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> PURSUANT TO DDA FOR MEZES PLAZA PROJECT, AND APPROVING <br /> EXECUTION OF DDA BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood <br />City (the "Agency") and Mezes Group, Inc., a California <br />corporation (the "Developer") have negotiated an agreement <br />entitled, "Disposition and Development Agreement for the Mezes <br />Plaza Project" (the "DDA"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the DDA the Developer will construct on <br />the Project Site (located on the south side of Broadway between <br />Main and Walnut Streets) approximately 56,000 square feet of <br />office and retail space, together with underground and surface <br />parking, landscaping and amenities appropriate to the Project; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the DDA also provides that the Agency is to <br />contribute to the Project a Subsidy in the amount of $500,000, <br />together with the acquisition and conveyance to the Developer of <br />two parcels (the "Acquisition Parcels") located within the <br />Project Site; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the DDA also provides that the City of Redwood City <br />is to contribute to the Project an easement eight (8') feet in <br />width for underground parking under the portion of Broadway that <br />abuts the Project Site; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the report and summary of the DDA required by <br />Section 33433 of the Health and Safety Code (the "Report") have <br />been prepared and, pursuant to published notice, have been made <br /> <br /> <br />
