Enforce and administer the City's tree-related ordinances. <br /> <br />2. Supervise the dally operations and coordinate wo~ activities of the City's Sidewalk <br /> Replacement Projec~ and Tree Maintenance Program. <br /> <br />3. Plan, lay out, Inspect and evaluate the work of' contractors as assigned. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL JOB RELATED AND ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br /> All aspects of a~3oriculture and related practical techniques: familiarity of municipal forest~/ <br /> and landscaping practices; knowledge of horticultural practices. <br /> <br /> Interectiorl between trees and sidewalks; mitigation methods and effects of treatments. <br /> Basics of concrete construction and Inspection procedures. <br /> <br /> Ability to: <br /> <br /> Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the work performance of contract crews. <br /> Ex~eden~ arid Tminlna GuidelineS; <br /> <br /> Equivalent to the completion of the twelflh grade supplemented by specialized college <br /> level courses tn supervision and arborlceffure, forest~/, horticulture, landscape <br /> architecture or a related field. <br /> <br /> $oeclel ReQuirements: <br /> Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: <br /> <br /> Licensee or Certificates: <br /> <br /> Possession of qualified Applicator's Certificate Is highly aesireb;e. <br /> <br /> Possession of Pest Control Advisor's License in categories A, B, C, E, F & G Is desirable. <br /> <br /> Possession of Certified ^rborist Certificate issued by the International Society of <br /> Arboricu~ure. <br /> <br /> <br />
