~ 0 R I G I N A L -- (8-29-94) <br /> 9/12/94 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12330 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPRO¥ING AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH SOUTH COUNTY TEEN <br /> PREGNANCY TASK FORCE ("TEEN TALK") <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, South County Teen Pregnancy Task Force ("Teen Talk") has been <br />established for the principal purpose of providing ways to prevent early pregnancy <br />among our student population; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, South County Teen Pregnancy Task Force ("Teen Talk") has <br />requested financial assistance in order to conduct its activities during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 1994 and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to South County Teen Pregnancy Task Force ("Teen Talk") the sum of THREE- <br />THOUSAND, SEVEN-HUNDRED FIi~Y DOLLARS ($3,750.00.); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, <br />and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "AGREEMENT" (form dated 8-29-94), by and between <br />the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and South <br />County Teen Pregnancy Task Force ("Teen Talk"), a non-profit corporation of the <br /> <br />State of California, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute, and attest to, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
