'-' (8-29-94) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/12/94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12329 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH SOR JUANA INES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sor Juana Ines has been established for the principal purpose of <br /> <br /> providing bilingual (English/Spanish) and culturally sensative services for women <br /> who have been physically, emotionally, sexually, verbally, and/or economically <br /> abused by a domestic partner; and <br /> WHEREAS, Sot Juana Ines of the Peninsula has requested financial assistance <br /> in order to conduct its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1994 and <br /> <br /> ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br /> allocate to Sor Juana Ines of the Peninsula the sum of THREE-THOUSAND, SEVEN- <br /> HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($3,750.00); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, <br /> and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br /> agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "AGREEMENT" (form dated 8-29-94), by and between <br /> the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and Sor <br /> Juana Ines, a non-profit corporation of the State of California, a copy of which <br /> agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby <br /> made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager and City <br /> Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and attest to, respectively, said <br /> agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
