(8-29-94) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/12/94 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12327 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF <br /> SANTA CLARA AND SAN MATEO COUNTIES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has been established for the principal purpose of <br /> <br />providing surplus or non-marketable donated food products at a centrally located <br />warehouse facility in San Mateo for distribution to 108 San Mateo County agencies <br />and distribution sites serving women and children, the "working poor," families in <br /> <br />transition, and the elderly and disabled on low, fixed incomes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Second Harvest Food Bank Of Santa Clara And San Mateo <br />Counties has requested financial assistance in order to conduct its activities during <br /> <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1994 and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to the Second Harvest Food Bank Of Santa Clara And San Mateo Counties the <br />sum of FIVE-THOUSAND, EIGHT-HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS ($5,880.00); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, <br />and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "AGREEMENT" (form dated 8-29-94), by and between <br />the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and the <br />Second Harvest Food Bank Of Santa Clara And San Mateo Counties, a non-profit <br />corporation of the State of California, a copy of which agreement is on file in the <br /> <br /> <br />
