I. ~ (8-29-94) 0 R I O I N A L 9/12/94 RESOLUTION NO. 12323 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF SAN MATEO COUNTY WHEREAS, the Legal Aid Society Of San Mateo County has been established for the principa! purpose of providing free legal assistance in civil cases to senior citizens and families with modest incomes who live in Redwood City or elsewhere in the County of San Mateo; and WHEREAS, the Legal Aid Society Of San Mateo County has requested financial assistance in order to conduct its activities during the fiscal yEar commencing July 1, 1994 and ending June 30, 1995; and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood CRy has reviewed sa~d request and d~sires to allocate to the Legal Aid Society Of San Mateo County the sum of TWO-THOUSAND, FOUR-HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($2,450.00); and WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and WHEREAS, it ~s the intention and desire of this Council to approw sa~d agreement and authorize its execution; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement entitled, "AOREE~ENT" (form dated 8-29-9~), by and b~tween the City of R~dwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and the Legal Aid Society Of San ~ateo County, a non-profit corporation of the Stat~ of California, a copy of which agreement ~s on file ~n the office of the City Clerk, to ~hich copy r~f~r~nce is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City ~anager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and attest to, respectively, sa~d agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City.
