-- 0 R I G I N A L (8-29-94) <br /> <br /> 9/12/94 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12316 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Community Education Center has been established for the <br />principal purpose of providing a quality multicultural preschool experience for <br /> <br />children from diverse backgrounds that will help insure their future academic <br /> <br />Success. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Community Education Center has requested financial assistance in <br />order to conduct its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1994 and <br /> <br />ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Community Education Center the sum of SIXTEEN-THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($16,000.00); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, <br />and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "AGREEMENT" (form dated 8-29-94), by and between. <br />the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of California and <br />Community Education Center, a non-profit corporation of the State of California, a <br />copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br />reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the <br />City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute, and attest <br />to, respectively, said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
