EXHIBIT "A" FIRE PLAN REVIEW SERVICES SCOPE OF SERVICES, TIME AND FEE SCHEDULES Scope of Services CSG consultant will provide thorough and accurate plan review services for fire and life safety, special hazards, fire sprinkler and fire alarm for any and all structures with emphasis on the unique needs and requirements of City of Redwood City. Buildings for fire plan review are included but not limited to industrial and commercial buildings with special hazards and risks associated, single- family and multi- family complexes. The fire plan reviews provided by the consultant shall include the initial plan review and all the subsequent reviews as necessary for building permit issuance. Permit plans and documentations for structural plan review will be picked up by the consultant messengers or will be shipped to their main office by Fed Ex using the consultant account number. CSG shall deliver the plan check comments to the Building and Inspection in electronic format and will provide two final sets of approved plans with stamp and signature to the city within 24 hours of the final review. CSG shall ensure that the fire plan reviews are in compliance with all local ordinances, State Codes and Federal Codes and Standards related to Fire and Life Safety, including the following: • 2010 California Building Code, Volumes 1 and 2 as adopted by the State of Califomia • 2010 California Residential Codes • 2010 Califomia Mechanical Code as adopted by the State of California • 2010 Califomia Fire Code (as adopted by the State of California) • National Fire Codes as published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); as adopted and referenced by the State of Califomia • City adopted ordinances and amendments relative to building and municipal codes, including project Conditions of Approval from other City departments, divisions, regulating agencies, and jurisdictions Office Hours and Meetinq Availabilitv CSG staff should be available for on-site plan review on Tuesday's and Wednesday's as requested to provide one stop fire plan review services. CSG will also provide off-site fire plan review services with a turn-around time not to exceed 10 working days. Proposed Staff CSG designated staff is Dennis Lockard. Mr. Lockard is a certified fire marshal and uniform fire code inspector with over 30 years' experience in the fire industry. Fee Schedule Consultant fee for onsite plan review and one-stop fire plan review services will be at $85.00 per hour. Off-site fire plan review will be charged at 75% of the City collected fire plan review fee. This rate will remain in effect through December 31, 2012. Upon completion of fire plan reviews as determined by the Plan Check Engineer, CSG will submit invoices for each project, identified by street address and building permit number for off-site reviews and by hours and date of services for onsite reviews.
