12. A. Legislation - This sub-section involves possible discussion of City Position on <br />._. Proposed Legislation Described in the League of California Cities Priority Focus <br /> Bulletin No. 06-2002 and 07-2002. Council may direct staff to act on positions taken <br /> by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus available in City <br /> Clerk's Department). <br /> <br /> i) Support for Proposition 40 - Park Grants Program; (214) <br /> <br /> City Manager Everett stated that similar legislation previously passed provided <br /> a benefit to the City of approximately $935,000.00 in park funds from that <br /> bond. <br /> <br /> M/S Hartnett/Ruskin to adopt RESOLUTION 14420 SUPPORTING <br /> PROPOSITION 40, THE CALIFORNIA CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, SAFE <br /> NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, AND COASTAL PROTECTION ACT, ON THE <br /> MARCH 5, 2002 STATEWIDE BALLOT; <br /> <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br /> <br /> 12. B. Various - <br /> <br /> i) Election Savings (Oral Report); (203) <br />'--' Council Member Pierce stated that enclosed in the Council packet was a brief <br /> synopsis of the ideas submitted from public through a variety of means <br /> regarding the savings of the $35,000.00 from not conducting the November <br /> 2001 Municipal Election.
