EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> RWC 2020'S SAFE ROUTE TO SCHOOL <br /> Description of the project: As part of a grant being funded by the San Mateo County <br /> Office of Education the Safe Routes to School With a focus on managing the resources <br /> from grants being funded by the San Mateo Counry Office of Education and the Federal <br /> Safe Routes to School cycle 3 Non-Infrastructure, the consultant's goal is to generate <br /> deliverables that help Redwood City 2020 (RWC 2020) to provide for a sustainable <br /> SRTS to school program in schools located with the Redwood City School District. <br /> Activities: <br /> 1. Work with the Redwood City District schools receiving SR2S funding in the 2011- <br /> 2012 school year administered by the County Office of Education. This work will <br /> include facilitating the efforts of these schools in the areas the 4 E's of SR2S that <br /> meet the needs of the individual schools <br /> 2. Prepare an application fo� SHD funding for climate corps intern for 2012-2013 <br /> 3. Work with the City of Redwood City in securing the formal authorization to <br /> proceed with the federal funding received for SR2S NI <br /> 4. Develop the administrative infrastructure to utilize the SR2S NI funding <br /> 5. Work with the Ctimate Corps intern in increasing the number of schools <br /> participating in the SR2S program <br /> 6. Serve as the client contact for the Stanford Urban Studies students performing <br /> an analysis of a SR2S program for Adelante School <br /> 7. Work with Climate Corps volunteer and RWC 2020 executive director to sustain <br /> and expand Safe Routes to School program in Redwood City School District <br /> In addition to the activities mentioned above, the consultant will also: <br /> 1. Provide overall coordination and direction for RWC 2020's SRTS initiative <br /> 2. Serve as liaison between RWC 2020 and appropriate City, County and RWC <br /> School District staff/consultants <br /> 3. Facilitate the RWC 2020 SRTS Task Force meetings and undertake preparation <br /> and follow-up from the meetings <br /> 4. Make presentations regarding the SRTS initiative to various stakeholders <br /> 5.
