The Client Services Program is comprised of three <br /> interrelated elements: the 24-Hour Crisis Line, Emergency Response Program, <br /> and Support Group and Counseling Services providing 24-hour, year-round <br /> emergency assistance to victims of domestic violence, as well as those in danger <br /> of becoming victims of violence. Funding Requested: $15,000. Funding <br /> Recommended: $10, 000. <br /> Fresh Lifelines for Youth, Inc (FLY). FLY is a nonprofit organization whose <br /> mission is to prevent juvenile crime and incarceration through legal education, <br /> mentoring, and leadership training. Funds requested are to provide legal <br /> education and leadership training to Redwood City at-risk youth attending County <br /> sponsored Community Schools in Redwood City and prevention programming to <br /> middle school youth in Redwood City. Funding Requested: $25,000. Funding <br /> Recommended: $12, 500. <br /> International Institute of the Bav Area (IIBA) — Servinq Immiqrant Victims of <br /> Violent Crime. The IIBA helps immigrants who are legally eligible to apply for <br /> work authorization, green cards, and obtain US Citizenship. Funds requested <br /> are to inform the immigrant community about the U visa laws - a visa specifically <br /> designated to provide legal status and work authorization for immigrant victims of <br /> violent crimes, including domestic violence, who would otherwise be afraid to call <br /> the police or testify in court — and to provide legal application assistance to those <br /> who qualify. Funding Requested: $10,000. Funding Recommended: $8,000. <br /> Peninsula Volunteers, Inc — Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels provides hot <br /> meals to seniors and adults with disabilities who are homebound and unable to <br /> prepare or shop for food. Meals on Wheels can be provided during short-term <br /> convalescence or long-term disability. Funding Requested: $25,000. Funding <br /> Recommended: $10, 000. <br /> Rape Trauma Services-Sexual Assault Services Proqram Rape Trauma <br /> Services provides mental health services to trauma survivors including individual <br /> and group counseling, advocacy, accompaniment, crisis intervention, and <br /> information and referrals. Funding Requested: $12,000. Funding <br /> Recommended: $6, 000. <br /> Service Leaque/Hope House. Hope House provides a 180-day alcohol and <br /> drug recovery program for women who are released from the San Mateo County <br /> Women's Correctional Program or other institutions or from the street who have <br /> 1 <br />
