i FXS:dft 27/94 <br /> (001c/38) <br /> 8~09/94R <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 8/15/94 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12280 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH REDWOOD CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM <br /> - PROJECT READ <br /> <br /> (FAMILIES IN PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Public Library ("Contractor") <br />conducts a Families in Partnership Program for residents of the <br />City of Redwood City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br />order to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1994, and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Five Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($5,000.00) from its Co~u~unity Development <br />Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Redwood City Library <br />Project Read (Families in Partnership Program)", (form dated <br />8/09/94R), by and between the City of Redwood City and Redwood <br />City Public Library System, a copy of which agreement is on file <br />in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br />hereby made for full particulars thereof is hereby approved and <br />the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br /> <br /> <br />
