FXS:dft '27/94 (001f/38) <br /> ~/09/94R <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 8/15/94 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12276 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT WITH LA RAZA CENTRO LEGAL, INC. <br /> <br /> (LEGAL ASSISTANCE, INTERVENTION AND EVICTION DEFENSE PROGRAM) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, La Raza Centro Legal, Inc., ("Contractor") conducts <br />a legal assistance, intervention and eviction defense program for <br />residents of the City of Redwood City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br />order to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1994, and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Five Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($5,000.00) from its Human Services Financial <br />Assistance funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "La Raza Centro Legal, <br />Inc., Legal Assistance, Intervention and Eviction Defense <br />Program", (form dated 8/09/94R), by and between the City of <br />Redwood City and La Raza Centro Legal, Inc., a copy of which <br />agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br /> <br /> <br />
