t~ FXS :dft ~/27/94 (001k/38) <br /> _09/94R <br /> -, 0 R I G I N A L 8/15/94 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12275 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT WITH LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF SAN MATEO <br /> COUNTY <br /> <br /> (HOMESAVERS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County <br />("Contractor") conducts a legal assistance intervention program <br />for residents of the City of Redwood City (the "Program") who are <br />at risk of becoming homeless; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br />order to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1994, and ending June 30, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Five Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($5,000.00) from its Community Development <br />Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br />presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Legal Aid Society of San <br />Mateo County (Homesavers)", (form dated 8/04/94R), by and between <br />the City of Redwood City and Human Investment Project, Inc., a <br />copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full <br /> <br /> <br />
