DES:dj~ 07/15/94 (118/37) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 8/1/94 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12268 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE HISTORICAL SIGN <br /> PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br /> WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12212, adopted June 27, <br />1994, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Historical Sign <br />Project, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, three bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Federal Sign, a Division of Federal Signal <br />Corporation, of Dublin, California, is the lowest responsible <br />bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />accept said bid of Federal Sign; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Federal Sign, in the amount of Forty-nine <br />Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-three and No/100 Dollars <br />($49,293.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal <br />dated July 13, 1994, for the Historical Sign Project, is hereby <br />accepted, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br />lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated <br />07/15/94) by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California and Federal Sign, a copy <br />of which agreement is on file in the Office of the City Clerk, to <br />which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br /> <br /> <br />
