What is Important aesthetfcally about my neighborhnnd is the sertti-rural character of the north side aFFingerAvenue,with many homes sat far back from the street.The appearance af large amounts oFapen space with matnre,a1d growth trees,provides a striking bacl�drop to the horrtes.The contrast betweet�the north s#de of Finger Avenue and its south side,with its many yuaint,early 20th century bungalows and cottages,is something that's un#que to Redwood City and treasured�y its residents, Examples of how the Finger Avenue Pro)ect si�niFfcant[y degrades the aesthetics oFour neighborhaoa are: • Canstruction af two homes with wide twa-story facades set bac[c the mir�imum a2lowabFe disCance fram the street.There are no houses that large set that close to thE street anywhere in aur neighborhoad. • Nowhere else on FingerAvenue ate homes this large placed on lots this small, • Al1 of the homes are af similar size and atl two-story,as npposed ta the mix of horrie sizes and heights that are representative ofthe north side of FingerAvenue. • Most of these nine homes will be viewabie frarn the public sh•eet. There is littte open space and the homes are anly set back a small distance from the narrow that serves them(same from 3ft-6ft fram the alleyway.)
