6-14- <br />December 8, 2003 <br />Subject <br />Award of Contract — Public Works Services Warehouse Offices Project <br />Recommendation <br />Approve the Contract Documents and award the contract for the Public Works Services <br />Warehouse Offices Project to the lowest responsible bidder, JMA Construction of San <br />Francisco, California, for the amount of $312,000. <br />Background <br />The Public Works Services Warehouse was built with the emphasis on warehouse <br />storage space. Since then, the emphasis for more storage in the warehouse is no <br />longer necessary, but more office space is required. This work will also provide more <br />efficient heating and ventilation system, lighting, and other appurtenances.
