q <br />MIS: (Piulle /Seybert) to dose the public hearing. <br />Motion Passed <br />Commissioner Garcia was concerned a, out the on -site parking. <br />Mr. Lyon said staff is trying to do a maser plan expanding 20 years, which will afford <br />opportunities in the future and allow for the improvement of on -site parking and <br />consolidate properties. <br />Commissioner Piulle thanked Mr. Lyon for explaining the background, because she said <br />it was not clear in the Staff Report and she thought the purpose of rezoning this property <br />was to sell -off Wegman's Nursery. So she stressed to Mr. Lyon the importance of <br />having a clear written background in the Staff Report. <br />Commissioner Radcliffe asked if the street trees would only be on Woodside Road, or <br />will they extend to Hess and Lucerne. <br />Mr. Blake said staff is in the process of discussing this with the City Arborist. <br />MIS: (Seybert/Radcliffe) that based on the Planning Commission findings that the <br />Mitigated Negative Declaration has been completed in compliance with CEQA, based on <br />the record between the initial study and the comments received that there is no <br />substantial evidence that the project will have a significant affect on the environment, <br />and based on the fact that the Mitigated Negative Declaration reflects the City's <br />independent judgment and analysis, moved that the Planning Commission adopt the <br />Mitigated Negative Declaration, incorporating all recommended mitigations, and any <br />other mitigations that the Planning Commission would like to incorporate, and make the <br />necessary findings as required by CEQA. <br />Motion Passed <br />MATTERS OF COMMISSION INTEREST <br />Upcoming Meetings: <br />November 4: Cancelled <br />"v November 11: City Holiday <br />November 18 (1) Public comments on Abbott EIR and (2) General Plan Visioning) <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />MIS: (Garcia /Radcliffe) to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion passed. <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:14 p.m. to reconvene at the next regular Planning <br />Commission meeting at 7:30 p.m. on November 18, 2003, in the City Hall Council <br />Chamber, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Tom Cronin, Secretary <br />REDWOOD CITY PLANNING COMMISSION <br />TC:ss <br />Page 4 of 4 <br />
