F. Caltrans District 4 ("Caltrans"), who shall have full access to the Project equipment <br /> throughout the Project limits but is not a signatory to this Agreement, shall enter into a <br /> separate agreement with C/CAG for the construction of portions of the Project on State <br /> right of way and the maintenance and operations of the Project (the "C/CAG-Caltrans <br /> AgreemenY'). <br /> G. The COLTNTY shall enter into a separate agreement with C/CAG with regard to the <br /> construction of portions of the Project on local arterials (the "C/CAG-COUNTY <br /> AgreemenY'). <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> The parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> 1. Conditions Precedent to Effectiveness of Agreement <br /> This Agreement shall become effective and binding upon the parties only if and once the <br /> GCAG-Caltrans Agreement and the GCAG-COLTNTY Agreement are entered into. <br /> 2. Equipment <br /> A. New Equipment: <br /> The COUNTY shall install the following equipment and components of the new Intelligent <br /> Transportation System(ITS)the Project elements("New EquipmenY'): <br /> 1) Directional signs(trailblazers and other); <br /> 2) Fixed or pan-tilt-zoom(PTZ)closed-circuit television cameras(CCTV); <br /> 3) Communications infrastructure(conduit, fiber,twisted wire copper,pull boxes, <br /> splice enclosures,wireless, soflware, and associated equipment); <br /> 4) Arterial changeable message signs (Arterial Dynamic Message Signs— <br /> ADMS); <br /> 5) Vehicle detection systems; <br /> 6) Center-to-center communications equipment between San Mateo County Hub <br /> (SMCHub)and District 4 Traffic Management Center(D4TMC);and <br /> 7) Power supply line and equipment. <br /> B. Upgraded Equipment. <br /> The COUNTY may upgrade the following equipment to the satisfaction of Redwood City, if <br /> necessary, to meet the operational needs of the Project ("Upgraded Equipment"): traffic signal <br /> controllers, cabinets, signal interconnect equipment, and signal operating software systems. <br /> C.
