EXHIBIT "A"
SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE
MCM shall provide the foilowing in the construction of the FIRE STORM 36' FIREBOAT:
• Reconstruction of the fire foam system which is capable of dispersing foam out of
all monitors. The foam system cost was based on a design and delivery system
that was outdated when the engineering conference took place. The proper
system included upgraded parts; an 80 gallon tank with a motorized refilling
system to meet today's standards.
• An emergency escape roof hatch. A clerical error occurred which removed
section 3.2.2 from the contract. At the 90% metal inspection, the hatch was noted
as missing and placed back in.
• An engine room fire suppression system 5. To increase the response time to an
engine fire and reduce employee exposure, an automatic suppression system
was deemed the fastest way to extinguish a fire in the beginning phase. This
would reduce the potential damage and keep the vessel from completely burning
and being a total loss.
• Apply protective coating to the exterior that delays corrosion and extends the
service time of the fireboat. Sharks hide protection is manually applied and
extends the exterior life of the boat. Applying the sealer adds an additional
protection to keep maintenance cost down.
• Meets inland waterways requirements for bilge water waste management 2. The
initial bilge collection system called for pans and manually removing the oil and
fuel from the engine room. This could potentially spill in their removal. The bilge
kleen system cleans the bilge water and pumps it to the outside without the
possibility of spilling engine and pump fluids to the environment. They would stay
contained in a filter. This system meets inland waterways waste management
law.
TOTAL: $19,645.00
ATTY/AGR/2013/AMENDMENTS/AMEND N0.1 METALCRAFf MARINE
REV:07-12-13 VR
