RDA RESOLUTION No. 12-01 OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING ITS ENFORCEABLE OBLIGATION PAYMENT SCHEDULE PURSUANT TO AB 1X 26 M/S Gee/Foust to adopt the RDA resolution. Motion carried 6-0 by electronic vote with Council Member Bain absent. 9. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST A. Mayoral Appointments to Regional Bodies for 2012-2013 Mayor Aguirre shared her appointments of Council Members to numerous regional bodies and other committees. She thanked her colleagues for all the time they dedicate to representing the city in these bodies. Mayor Aguirre noted that if there are any updates on the Council Ad Hoc Committees for Council Members to provide that information. She specifically called out that the YMCA appointees should be Foust, Pierce and Seybert; and, that for the C/CAG Air Management, Bain is the appointee. She thanked her colleagues for all their work. B. City Council Member(s) Report(s) of Conference/Meeting Attendance C. City Council Members Oral Reports of Conferences/Meetings Attended One Council Member brought up an issue relating to speakers, who come to the Council Meeting and leave messages on answering machines. She noted that sometimes the answers are not what people want; and, so the questions continue because some are not getting the answers they want. She clarified that Council is responsive and does not ignore people. She explained that the City Council has 78,000 residents to handle and can't say yes to every person. Vice Mayor Gee wished everyone a Happy Lunar Year and announced the upcoming event on February 4, 2012 at the Courthouse Plaza at 11:00 a.m. He invited all to come and said that this event will be in partnership with the History Museum. He announced an exciting program and said this was all possible due to the sponsorships. Vice Mayor Gee also announced the Redwood Shores Association Annual meeting will be on Wednesday February 8 and the Mayor is scheduled to speak. Council Member Pierce attended the League of CA Cities conference. She appreciates that the cities were not on the hit list in the Governor's budget proposal thanks to Proposition 22. Council Member Ira thanked Council Member Pierce for her work on Proposition 22 and working with the League. He believes this is a good thing and he believes the courts did the right thing. Mr. Ira wants to go regional, working together and he welcomes solutions. Mayor Aguirre spoke about the meandering boundaries of the city and how it gets mixed up.
