She said there <br /> is a public safety aspect to this and spoke about the need for the type of work and <br /> knowledge Ms. Anderson has because there is no oversight and no one else does what <br /> she does. <br /> Tippy Irwin, director of Ombudsman Services of San Mateo County, spoke in support of <br /> their partnership with the Veterans Memorial Senior Center and the Parks, Recreation, <br /> and Community Services Department. She shared some statistical information and <br /> said that any cuts would require they to lay off staff and be unable to monitor facilities to <br /> same extent.
