(205) <br /> M/S Seybert/Gee to nominate Council Member Pierce as the voting delegate and Vice <br /> Mayor Aguirre as the alternate. Motion carries by voice vote with Vice Mayor Aguirre <br /> absent. <br /> Minute order 10-140 <br /> B. Resolution for Proposition 22. (205) <br /> RESOLUTION No. 15044 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY IN SUPPORT OF PROPOSITION 22 OF THE LOCAL TAXPAYER, <br /> PUBLIC SAFETY AND TRANPORTATION PROTECTION ACT OF 2010 <br /> Mayor Ira asked Mr. Abrams to provide details. Interim City Attorney gave a synopsis of <br /> how the League of California Cities is placing a constitutional amendment on the <br /> November ballot (Prop 22) and how Council will formalize its support through the <br /> resolution. He stated that Proposition 22 aims to protect local revenues and various <br /> jurisdictions have been asked to endorse it. <br /> M/S Pierce/Bain to approve the resolution. Motion carries by electronic vote with <br /> Vice Mayor Aguirre absent. <br /> C. Council Reports on Committee Meetings Attended. <br /> Council Member Pierce showed a replica of a sign presented to Ralph Nobles at the <br /> dedication of Bair Island event. The sign formalizes appreciation for Carolyn and Ralph <br /> Nobles and the Friends of Redwood City for their work in this restoration project. She <br /> also announced that BAWSCA (Bay Area Water Supply Conservation Agency) has <br /> begun a multi-jurisdictional project (in its second phase) to meet water reliability for its <br /> 26 member agencies. She announced there will be a one time financial assessment. <br /> Council Member Foust clarified that Fish and Wildlife omitted the fact that in 2001 a task <br /> force of Council Members (Jeff Ira, Barbara Pierce and Colleen Jordan) had been created <br /> to get these efforts under way. She emphasized the City's role as well as the Port's in <br /> making this a reality. She also noted that as the Chair of the San Mateo Transportation <br /> Authority she attended the grand opening of the 101 auxiliary roads befinreen Millbrae and <br /> San Mateo. Council Member Foust welcomed the new owners of the Club Fox — Fox <br /> Theater and thanked them for investing in this community. She acknowledged Council <br /> Member Gee's efforts in making this a reality. <br /> 9.
